When my alarm clock made the very first squeak, I slapped it into silence – very firmly! I rolled over and slept until five thirty! Wicked wench!
Ah! But it was so good!
It was so nice to know that Paddy, Tamryn and Matt’ were all here safely on the farm with us.
I fed Shamara and went up to my studio to have my Quiet Time, and I also managed to do a bit more of my catching up of my Bible Studying. I am hoping to have caught up by the ed of today.
Slowly-slowly the household awoke – no one is any great hurry to get moving!
Then Peter, a good friend of ours phoned to say that he was popping over to give Tamryn some advice on how and what they –( that is, Tamryn and Matt’) – need to get going on with for her container home.
So after everyone had had their coffee and rusks they - Peter, Ken, Tamryn and Matt’ went up the hill to the container home in process up there, and Paddy went off to do more fencing. The bulls had kindly flattened two fences -something they are pretty good at doing unfortunately!
While they were out I did some more ironing (yep, there is still a mountain of clothing awaiting straightening) and then I put out food for lunch.
Yahee! Ken and Paddy managed to bring our bull that had gone a-visiting our neighbor and he is now back home.
When Ken came home he headed off for his siesta, and then when Tamryn and Matt’ came in they headed off to have an afternoon snooze. Paddy only came in ages after everyone and as he laydown to try to sleep he received a phone call! So, no sleep for him!
I gave ironing a bit of a miss today and while everyone was resting, I finished my Bible Study so – whoo-hoo, I am right up to date! Hallelujah! This is the Two-Year Reading through the Bible course that Mich’ and I are doing together.
Tonight, I am going to try out – (my poor family I am do this to them) – a new recipe. I will be attempting to make some Chicken Chow Mein. Hopefully we all live to tell the story!
If there is no blog up tomorrow you will know not to make that recipe, okay!
What lesson did I learn today? To enjoy every moment that our family are with us on the farm.
What am I grateful for today? That I am up to date with my Bible Study.
My saying for today is …
