I woke up and got out of bed at just before four o'clock feeling a little sad as we had to leave our 'home' here by the ocean, this morning. But honestly it has been such a wonderful time here that I decided rather than be sad at having to leave, I should be happy for the week of fun we had had instead.

Farewell to Fishermen's Bay and a wonderful week of fun, laughter, and rest.

I had my Quiet Time then showered, dressed, and finished packing my clothes then went downstairs to begin the tidying and packing up there. Thankfully, there was little to do as we had been so neat and tidy during our stay, and we had allowed our supplies to dwindle down so we did not have much to pack.

Soon we were on our way. We stopped to get fuel and a coffee and then set sail for Port Macquarie.

We left Fishermen's Bay a lot earlier than we thought we would, so that was a nice surprise.

When we arrived here (at my friend's home in Port Macquarie where I will be looking after Felix, her beloved feline for another two weeks), we attempted to follow her instructions how to get into her home, but they had disappeared off my phone! G-r-e-a-t! Then Mich' managed to re-instate Mariaan's (my friend's) text and videos on my phone again. But then ... we hit another snag. The code Mariaan gave me to unlock the safe box with the keys inside was incorrect!

But eventually we managed to get into this lovely home! How? Mich' managed to run the video that Mariaan had sent me, of her scrolling on the safe box lock, and Mich' froze it and enlarged it so we could see the correct code numbers!

Felix was so happy to see us and with much fur rubbing, purring and happy somersaults we were welcomed. Felix remembers both of us from a year ago when we looked after him which is amazing!

Felix showing off - rolling around and doing somersaults for us!

After unpacking everything we settled in - Mich' went off to rest and read her book and I lay down to read but then decided to unpack and put away all my clothes instead first. Ater which I lay down, but then the front doorbell rang, so I squirted downstairs to answer it. There at the door stood a man - someone I did not know at all. He introduced himself as a friend of Tinus' (Mariaan's husband) and that he had several boxes of Bibles for the Gideons - Tinus being a Gideon leader. So, I helped this man, John, to carry these boxes into Mariaan's garage and then waved him a farewell.

We let Felix spend most of the afternoon out in the sunny garden - something he absolutely loves doing. Mariaan asked me to watch out for a large blue tongue lizard that came into her garden a few weeks ago and with whom Felix had thought to attack! Not a My syaing for today is ...good idea as Felix is old and a small cat!

We made ourselves a tuna and salad sandwich for supper and then settled down to watch another DVD on the Book of Daniel - chapter 11 - so we will finish this series tomorrow as we only have one chapter to go!

Later we watched some light TV before heading off to bed. Mariaan asked me to please sleep in their bed in the front of the home as Felix prefers to sleep there. So, Mich', slept in one of the (two spare) guest rooms - in the one I stayed in last year.

The three of us - Mich', Felix and mwah were soon all fast asleep. It had been another lovely day.

What lesson did I learn today? All good things come to an end.

What am I grateful for today? Having spent a week by the ocean with Mich', in a beautiful apartment and for all the fun we had had together.

My saying for today is ...
