Felix decided that he had had enough of my company by sleeping alongside me on the couch for the whole day, so he did not sleep with me last night. I missed his company, and it is still very quiet without Mich’ here with me!
This morning, I was up bright and early, I had my Quiet Time did some Bible studying and then had my coffee.
Next, I tidied the kitchen by putting on the dishwasher and getting things ready for tea this morning, as I have Danni (the lady who lives about two houses down from here) coming to visit me at eleven o’clock.
I buttered some banana bread and arranged the slices on a pretty plate, then I made some tomato, onion, lettuce, cheese and mayonnaise sandwiches and arranged those on lettuce leaves on another pretty plate. Whoo-hoo! I was ready and organized for morning tea!
I had a lovely hot shower – which is now so much better because Mich’ cleaned out the drain, (handy having a daughter who is used to doing renovations!) so there is not so much water spilling out onto the bathroom floor anymore.
I am hoping to have finished crocheting my baby shawl – I may not get time to have made the tassels to go around the edges, but I think I can get the main section of the shawl done while I am here. I have only four block rows to complete but that is still about 5000 stitches (if not more!) to go!
Yahee! By half past ten this morning, I had written out and worked on my lessons for my SRE classes on Thursday this week. Done and dusted and ready to go! Wonderful!
Danni arrived promptly at eleven o’clock and she presented me with a beautiful box of Ferrero choccies to welcome me here into this their neighborhood. Very sweet lady. She stayed and chatted with me for over two hours – she was very interesting to listen to and I really enjoyed her company.
In the afternoon I crocheted my baby shawl and listened to the arguments for and against Trump and Harris which I found very interesting.
I did not bother to watch anything on TV in the evening but went t bed and read my book instead.
What lesson did I learn today? How easy it is to make a new friend by simply listening to
her.
What am I grateful for today? Making a new friend.
My saying for today is …
