I woke up at two o’clock but thankfully rolled over and went back to sleep again - something I cannot always do!
I got up and out of bed at ten to four to begin my day. This morning Shamara was not there to guide me to her food bowl, so she must have slept out in the main shed area last night. I filled her food bowl up for her as I knew she would soon be up and ravenous. She was!
I had my Quiet Time and then I went over the lesson I will be teaching at Sunday School later this morning.
Paddy was up earlier than normal this morning and I heard him downstairs making himself a coffee before going back to bed to read or scroll on his phone. I think Paddy was up at about five thirty this morning.
Tamryn got up a bit later and she too grabbed a coffee and headed back to bed to read for a while.
Eventually we were all moving. I went downstairs and had a shower and got dressed for church at about seven or seven thirty thereabouts. I left Ken still fast asleep and Tamryn took me across the river to my car at half past eight. I went in early as I wanted to get a few things at the IGA before church.
I could honestly kick myself (and hard too!) as I bought a birthday card for Ren’ (our daughter-in-law) to make sure it went back with Paddy for her birthday this coming week, and … yes, you guessed it. I did not send it back with Paddy! I was thrown by the fact that he left the farm at the same time as Tamryn and Matt’ today as Paddy normally leaves on a Monday! How stupid am I? No, do NOT answer that okay! I already know the answer.
I will have to try and post it then and pray she gets it in time.
This morning, when church was over and I was about to drive back home, I phoned Paddy to let him know as he was going to fetch me and take me back home across the river. Bless him, he had the Highway gate open for me to simply drive in, park down at the river and then he took me home
A work in progress....
I asked Ken to take me up to Tamryn’s container to see what they had managed to do up there. Shame, both Tamryn and Matt’ were looking very hot, a little disheveled and down, as the window was just not doing what it was meant to do, then the glass was popping out, and in the end, they had to put down tools and will try again another day.
So disappointing for them and more than frustrating too!
While Tamryn and Matt’ went down to the shed to look at using maybe another window, and Ken went off on the quad bike to check the back of the farm I stayed up at Tamryn’s site. It was lovely just standing up there on a beautiful day, with a lovely breeze blowing looking out over the farm. I love the serenity that nature coddles one in - if you let it. I walked back home later.

The view ...
Paddy continued to fix fences all day again, fencing is really a 24/7 job on the farm. It just never ever ends. But … on the brighter side … he had no reason to speak Japanese today!
Paddy, Tamryn and Matt’ brought in thee huge posts for dividing up the main shed and clamped in the shelving posts too, and Paddy took the oval conference table back with him for his warehouse mezzanine floor.
Then Paddy, Tamryn and Matt’ left the farm to go back home as Paddy and Matt’ have some serious meetings in Sydney on Tuesday.
Corne a friend and a fellow vet’ with Paddy gave us a beautiful cat litter container which looks as if one should have a degree to work out how to use it. I have, so far, downloaded the app and will hopefully learn how to operate it by tomorrow.
I hopped into bed as soon as I could, and I watched some of those ridiculous “Would I Lie to You?” episodes. They make me laugh and it is such a nice way to end my day - just laughing, or with a smile on my face.
What lesson did I learn today? To always find something - no matter how small – to be grateful for!
What am I grateful for today? A beautiful day all wrapped up in sunshine!
My saying for today is ….
