Blog for Sunday 19th October 2025

ree

Wow! A week has already gone by since my birthday - everything has whizzed by so fast, but it has all been so special and such fun. Oh-er! I love our family so much!

This morning, I was up and out of bed at just before four o'clock - yep! bright eyed and bushy tailed nog al, even though I went to sleep so late!

I had my Quiet Time in bed and uploaded yesterday's blog too. Then I toddled on downstairs to have a coffee and greet the new day by just watching the ocean breathe - up and down and the waves roll in and out, in and out.

It was another beautiful day! Hallelujah!

Ah yes! I meant to mention yesterday in my blog that the farm had received 28mm of rain on Friday night - what a blessing.

Mich' and I did not attend a church here, instead we watched and listened to another DVD in the series on the study of the Book of Daniel. Very interesting.

Later, we hopped into the ute' and headed for Salamander Bay shopping centre for a morning of strolling round and ogling all the merchandise on display in the centre. From there we did a quick shop in KMart and then we headed to the smaller centre in Fishermen's Bay to a little restaurant there for a coffee before returning home.

In this little restaurant they had lots of soft toys dotted around on the couches - we were not sure of why or what the reason for them to be there was, but I took a snap of Mich' getting up close to two wombats while we sipped our coffees!

Mich' with two wombats!
Mich' with two wombats!

Once home. Mich' headed off to have a snooze and I lay down to read my book for a short while before I continued doing a little more smocking.

When Mich' woke up we went and sat outside and played several games of Bananagram - a word game that we all love in our family. It was so nice just sitting outside above the ocean, hearing the waves crashing onto the rocks below us and watching the waves froth and foam as they did so.

Later we came back inside and watched a few episodes of the series on Netflix that we began to watch today. We are not too sure of what we think of this series yet ... it is a little strange yet gripping enough for us to want to know what happens!

By twenty to ten we were beginning to feel a little frayed around the edges, so we headed up to our respective beds to sleep.

I was in bed working on my laptop when suddenly there was a loud crash-bang happening in my bathroom - and I am sure I lost ten kilos due to fright, but I got up and Mich' joined me to see what on earth it was. It was a mirror that they had stuck on the main mirror that had decided to fall off with a loud clatter and bang! Talk about tatty nerve endings and dilated eyeballs!

Another lovely day slowly slipped away leaving behind it a warm fuzzy feeling of pure contentment. Both Mich' and I are so enjoying this time of rest, surrounded by the sound of the sea.

What lesson did I learn today? To live in the moment.

What am I grateful for today? Another fantastic day by the sea.

My saying for today is ...
