Ken got up to visit the bathroom and about twenty minutes later my alarm began her chirpy little ditty - reminding me to get up and enjoy the new day waiting outside!
Okay before I forget again here is my photo for today - these are two of my favorite embroidery stitches books. I have been so inspired by them to try all sorts of stitches I would never thought of and most of them I had never seen before.

I am delighted to tell you that Ken and I got to church early today, but our friends had already kindly set out the cups et cetera for us, put the urn on and so on. Bless them all!
We had a young Australian woman, who is doing mission work in Sydney reaching out to the Muslim women in that area. Tash is her name and we - our church - support her work financially and in prayer. She gave a very interesting talk and video to show us the work she is involved in. I truly believe that few are called out into the actual missionary fields (although we all work in the ‘mission field’ of our lives,) but we can all contribute to mission works in some way - either by supporting them in prayer or financially.
After the service we had a light finger food lunch with the congregation in Tash' s honor and then Ken and I came home.
Well we stopped to get fuel for the farm, and I had to get a few items at the IGA on our way out of Wauchope.
When we got back home everyone who had been here over the weekend had already left to return to their respective homes.
Actually I almost forgot to mention that, when Ken and I left the farm this morning, Ken crossed the river on the tractor and I drove across in the ute,’ as Peter had brought a load of wood for Tamryn’s container floors and decking, and he needed the tractor to get it all across the river. He stacked all that wood neatly down at the bottom shed, but Matt’ or Tamryn will have to move it up to Tamryn’s container when they are ready to work with it.
Oh yes! something else. When I was tiptoeing down the stairs early this morning - hoping not to disturb Frik’s sleep, he heard me and shouted out, “Hey Gail! I slept in a waterbed last night!” When I asked how so, he told me that the duvet had obviously been hanging over the edge of the bed and when I wet and washed the floor in the shed this morning, the duvet soaked the water up, but we would not have noticed because of the patterned fabric of the duvet - until he climbed into bed late that night! Poor guy! Hah! Well, at least his feet did not work up a sweat!
When we got home from church, Ken headed off for his siesta, I had another shower to cool down - and cool down I did as the gas had run out, so the water was refreshingly cold! I popped my ‘jamas on, grabbed my audio book and sat outside with all the dogs in the beautiful afternoon breeze that was blowing outside. How blessed am I!
I think for supper tonight we can have leftovers - porterhouse steak, fried rice and mixed veggies - but honestly, I had more than enough to eat at lunch at church, so maybe a toasted sarmie will do.
I took today off working and will have to do double time tomorrow! I need to get this shed sorted out, and it is taking forever and a day to do so. I must get Ken inspired to help me move stuff around.
What lesson did I learn today? To take note of all the things I need to be grateful for in my life.
What am I grateful for today? Our friends helping set out the tea stuff for us at church - it was our Tea Duty this morning.
My saying for today is …
