Oh dear! No wonder I woke up so late today – I had obviously been actively dreaming during the night and had forcibly removed my bedside lamp off my bedside table! It is crazy that I have absolutely NO recollection of these dreams at all. Nothing! Nada! Niks! Lutu!
I only got out of bed at just on five o’clock! I think it is also because I had a shocking headache, my head cold had set in seriously too, plus the sore throat had resurrected itself. Rats! That meant I would have to cancel my SRE lessons today which I hate doing, but it would be very selfish of me to go to school and give them all my bugs. Aaaah! I will miss being with the kids.
I contacted the school to tell them I would not be in because of my sniffles, sore throat and coughing, but about an hour after I had phoned them, I began to feel vomity and had an upset tummy as well. So, I hung out the washing and put myself to bed to sleep for a while.
I slept for two hours – which alone tells me that I am not well, but I felt so much better for having done that.
I got up and cleaned out my cupboard and put everything back neatly. Then I sorted out all my jewelry into colors. I have different little containers for each color I have. I do not own many expensive pieces of jewelry as I mainly go for effect! Whatever goes with what I am wearing is my guideline!
Ken worked on the lawn mower but was really frustrated as he tried putting it together but got the one blade in upside down! Ah! The lessons in patience we all have to go through in life!
When Ken came in for his siesta I went up to my studio and wrote out a sign for my flower duty at church on Sunday. I wrote in gold paint and in uncial script. The sign is “A word fitly spoken, is like apples of gold in settings of silver”. Proverbs 25: 11 I have sprayed an old palm leaf (well a section of it) with silver and then I have three apples that I will spray gold early on Sunday morning. My flowers will be several heads of agapanthus (thanks Paddy for planting those on the farm for us!) arranged (hopefully artistically behind the palm leaf, apples and sign!)
Yahee! We picked up my printer’s inks yesterday, so I refilled them this afternoon and will now be able to print again.
I am still not feeling that grand so I pulled out of the deep freeze a couple of meals that I had frozen for Ken a while back, and we can have those for supper tonight. They are a beef stew I had made for him with rice, peas and butternut.
At just after four o’clock I lay down again and just listened to one of my audio books as tomorrow Ken and I have to go into town, so I do not need to be feeling yucky.
Ken is having the ute’ serviced, so I have to go in to pick him up and we can do some shopping in Port’ while we wait for the ute’ to be serviced.
What lesson did I learn today? To listen to my body!
What am I grateful for today? That I was able to rest today.
My saying for today is …
