Blog for Thursday 31st October 2024

Wow! We have reached the last day of October already! So, only two months left of 2024 Yikes! Time is whipping by at hurricane force!

I had my Quiet Time and then when Mich’ got up she went off to the chemist to get some more medicines to get rid of her sore throat super-fast.

Today, I am off to teach at school and am a little nervous – I pray I get there and do not get lost on the way there.

I am delighted to inform you all that I not only got to school, but I did so without running over any pedestrians, (well, none that I noticed,) and I also bumped into no vehicles! That is a demonstration and example of sheer self-control!

One difficult journey and an attempt to arrive safely at school and get back home in one piece, and … I did it!

Mich’ has had a really hard day with a lot of support calls and queries to attend to, so I hardly saw her today.

I felt for her as, some people think it is their right to be horribly rude, when manners and patience go so much further and get you better results all round. I marveled at her patience when said people were behaving like pork chops because they were on the other side of the phone call and felt safe to spout vitriol.

I stopped at the nursery and bought her three spiky, and hairy little cacti for her to remember this phoefie day at work, but to also remember it will pass!

When I got back home from school, Felix gave me a happy “Welcome home” meow and was sitting at the top of stairs when he heard the garage roller door opening, he was waiting for a scratch and love. He got it!

I am loving this little keyboard that Mich’ bought for me, because all the letters work on it, which makes it soo much easier for me to type. On my old keyboard the letters ‘s’; ‘n’; ‘z’; ‘a’ and the spacebar were not working properly, which made typing painful some days!

In the  evening Mich; and I played a few games of 'Bananagram' and watched one show of “Deal  or No Deal” before  heading to bed.

What lesson did I learn today? What fun I have when teaching children.

What am I grateful for today?  A day at school.

My saying for today is …
