Blog for Tuesday 12th November 2024

I was up at four o’clock this morning and ready to face the day come what may!

I fed Shamara, who was waiting ever so patiently for me to shuffle up to her food bowl and fill it. Then I made my coffee and went up to my studio to have my Quiet Time.

Ken left the farm at about half past nine to get to the appointment (that yes, we went in for yesterday!) but before he left he checked the rain gauge. We had had 31mm rain overnight. And the whole day was one of light drizzle – well, more like a soft mist.

My day was spent cleaning, tidying and I did about seven loads of washing! The problem with that is that I have no where to hang it all. My tumble drier works, but it does not really dry things. It only  removes some of the wetness. Never mind, I made a plan.

Our home is well draped with semi-dried clothing!

Sorry, there is not much else I can tell you about my day as that is all I did.

When Ken got back home late – about half past three or even four o’clock I had not sat still, but had been on the hop all day, and yet there is still much to do!

I used paper plates to do that, as I am telling one of Jesus’ parables and so the front of the plate is the sketch of the parable that Jesus told in public, but the reverse side is the meaning that Jesus  told His followers in private.

Paddy text me to say that Tamryn and Matt’ should be arriving early evening on Thursday and Paddy will arrive after ten at night the same day. Yahee! I feel as if I have not seen them for ages!

Tonight, we had butter chicken and as we still had a little pasta I put it over that. It was very nice.

What lesson did I learn today? Never to give up!

What am I grateful for today? The rain.

My saying for today is …
