Blog for Tuesday 4th November 2025

ree

I woke up just before four again this morning - I seem to fancy waking at either 3.57 or 3.58am without any alarm!

We had had some rain overnight as the back deck was very wet when I let Felix out this morning. So good for the garden and I pray that the farm got some rain too.

I had my Quiet Time, uploaded my blog, and did my exercises (can you believe that?) and I even did my history lesson for the day/ Today it was on Churchill, which I really enjoyed.

Then I took the rubbish outside to the bins, brought the parcel in that was delivered to the front door this morning. I was in the study when the doorbell rang so I toddled downstairs to answer it but when I opened the door there was no one there, just the parcel and I could hear the car door slamming shut as the courier left.

Then I did the ironing. After that I sat for a while and began to lacey edging on the one side of the baby shawl that I am knitting. Much concentration, tongue wagging and deep sighs were needed for this exercise!

I put the washed, dried and now ironed bedding on the bed in the spare room upstairs, then I pulled out all the Tupperware/plastic containers and put them back onto the shelf neatly.

Ah, yes! I worked for most of the morning on my lessons for SRE on Thursday at school, and I was really pleased to have got that done and dusted.

I think I may start to pack somethings to get things out of the way and it will make it easier for me to leave early on Thursday. I then changed my mind as it really unsettles animals when they see suitcases and packing happening, so I will pack just before I leave rather so I do not upset Felix.

Tomorrow I will go through to Wauchope for our Bible Study Group, which we will be having in Wauchope while we do the Book of Daniel, using my DVD's to do so. Hopefully by the time I go through this book again I will know it well, as I have now done it several times!

Tonight, I will find a movie to watch and just relax. W-e-l-l. probably I will watch a documentary as I really battle to find a movie that I consider 'decent' now days. Hmm, I think what I should do is find the really old movies as I am sure they would be available.

In the end I did not watch anything but went to bed and read!

What lesson did I learn today? To be disciplined and do what I set out to do.

What am I grateful for today? Another beautiful day.

My saying for today is ....
