I was up bright and early and ready to spend another day in this lovely home of Tinus’ and Mariaan‘s with Felix.
I was delighted too that Felix chose to sleep with me again last night – it made me feel loved.
By eight o’clock I was dressed, had my Quiet time, uploaded my blog, done my ironing and eaten breakfast!
Today, I think I will work on the ‘Kids Talk’ I will be giving in church this Sunday. It will be good to have that done.
I did do bit of work on it – deciding what I would be talking on was the first step, now I need to work on that!
In the morning, I watched videos snips or listened to podcasts about the American election hoo-ha. Just interesting stuff.
In the late afternoon Felix and I cuddled up on the couch – Felix to snooze on my knitting bag and snuggle by my feet, and me to watch an episode of “The Block” which I did not watch last night.
Tomorrow I must begin to make sure that everything in this lovely home is ship-shape for when Tinus and Mariaan get here on Sunday. I will begin with washing the bedlinen for the room downstairs – that’s where Mich’ stayed. I have already washed her towels. I will have to put my bedlinen and towels into the washing machine very, very early on Sunday morning – and hopefully tumble dry them for Mariaan. As I do not want her to arrive back home and have to do anything. I also plan to make them a large slow cooker of veggie soup so they do not have to worry about a meal for their first night home. Mariaan is a vegetarian but as Tinus is not, so I will buy a cooked chicken for him to chop up and put into his bowl of veggie soup.
On Sunday early morning I will have to pack all my stuff to go back home and leave to get to church on time as I am doing the ‘Kids Talk” first up!
Tonight, I had the last of the Butter Chicken that Mich’ and I ordered in the other day – mmmm-delicious!
Before heading off to bed I watched an episode of “The Block” and then climbed into bed to read for a short while. I hope Felix chooses to sleep with me again.
What lesson did I learn today? To do what I have to do before what I want to do!
What am I grateful for today? An overcast but reasonably cool day.
My saying for today is …
