Makes me feel intelligent! I shot out of bed like a cannon ball this morning, ready for anything today hurled at me. I reckoned I could duck and let it hit someone else for a change! Just joking! I went up to my studio with coffee in hand to have my Quiet Time and then to plan my day. Today was going to be a heavy one for me as I had much planned for me to do. Oh, dearie me! First, I had to unpack the chest deep freeze which was now solid ice and then sort out what I must coo

T-r-i-n-g! Oh dear! That was my signal to get out of bed at four o'clock this morning, but my body was sending me frantic messages of "Ainah!" and 'Pain alert' all over! It was all that up and down, in and out, and bending over cleaning out the kitchen cupboards yesterday that has caused this. Every muscle groaned ... loudly! But bravely I got up and ignored them all! I made my coffee and went up to my studio to have my Quiet Time. Then I made some egg and lettuce sandwiches

I rolled out of bed and into the new day at twenty past four this morning. Yes! A little slow this morning, I fear. But hey! I got up, give me that! It was time for a coffee and then upstairs I did trot to have my Quiet Time and to begin this new day that was slowly uncurling before me. Today early this morning and in the early evening I watered Paddy's trees to make sure they had a fighting chance at survival. I am pleased to report that they are looking lovely and not wilte

Four o'clock and time to rise and shine. W-e-l-l. I arose but there was not much shining happening until after my mug of coffee! It is amazing the transformation a mug of coffee manages to bring about in those wee dark hours of the day. I went up to my studio and had my Quiet Time. After which I wrote out my 'To Do List' for the day. Ken spent the whole day in bed sleeping, which should speed his healing up, and Raafie occasionally joined him for the odd snooze throughout th

My day began at the usual time - four o'clock int he morning. It was very dark as obviously there was heavy cloud cover - and there was. Shortly after I got up the rain fell hard but only for a very short time. Good! That would break this heat wave a little I thought. I went up to my studio to have my Quiet Time and thankfully I did not have any duties at church today, so I needed no paraphernalia to take with me. I went downstairs later to have a shower and get myself dresse

Well, "Good Morning world!" I hopped out of bed on the dot of four this morning, looking a little crumpled but ready to live the height, depth and width of this new day. It was a nippy start to the day. I wrapped myself in my dressing gown, made my coffee and tiptoed up the stairs to my studio. There I had my Quiet Time to begin my day. I was happy that Paddy stayed another night here with us as he was so hot and tired and the thought of him having to drive all that way back

I am delighted to tell you all that today was a quiet day with pretty much nothing too much happening! How wonderful! I woke up late - my fault for going to sleep so late last night. So, I only tumbled out of bed at five o 'clock this morning into a day already promising to turn warm! It did. But first - at nine o'clock Craig from Mount Seaview arrived here on the farm to fetch his boss's cattle that had been on our farm for forever and a day - two cows, one steer and one lit

Is it not crazy that the last two early mornings have been really chilly? It is stinking-hot during the day but almost cold in the mornings! I managed to convince my body to get out of bed and start the new day after a little gentle persuading. I made myself a strong coffee and toddled up to my studio to have my Quiet Time. My ring finger on my left hand is really tender today. Last night I went to make myself a soda water and the top of the soda machine flew off at great spe

I was up and out of bed this morning at four o'clock, even though I had a nightmare and was yelling out again last night. Ken said that he had patted me gently, so as not to wake me, but to disturb me from the horrible dream. It worked! I went up to my studio to have my Quiet Time and get my things together to take through to Bible Study Group in Wauchope this morning. We got there with five minutes to spare, and it was nice to have everyone there, bar Keith who was working t

I woke myself up last night and frightened the hell out of poor Raafie who was sleeping snuggled against me when I yelled out loudly in my nightmare. Poor little dog! I then battled to settle and go back to sleep again which caused me to sleep in again this morning. Rats! Well today I had a huge pile of chaos to sort out in my studio on my ‘To Do List’. Yahee! At half past eight this morning the water tanker arrived and pumped water into our tanks, so we now have water, but n

Wow! That makes me feel terrible! Moving on ... Can you believe that? We are into the last month of 2025 already. Only twenty-four more days to Christmas and I am absolutely not organised at all this year. I am miles behind myself and lagging in energy nog al! In fact, I even got up later this morning. I was awake at four o'clock and then I was not. I rolled out of bed at just after five o'clock instead. Tsch! Tsch! Gail Morgan you are slacking woman! I am putting this down t
