Blog for Friday 14th August 2026
This morning, I got up just before my alarm began to shriek, and I tumbled out of bed and went straight to my study to have my Quiet Time. This morning I uploaded my blog but left checking my emails for later as Mich’ was coming across for an early morning visit before she began her work I showered early and got myself dressed quickly. Mich’ was coming over to have breakfast with me this morning – and she was hoping to get here by half past seven. Unfortunately, she got caugh

Blog for Thursday 13th August 2026
A friend of mine sent this to me! Love it! This morning I only woke up at a quarter past six as I had a terrible night last night – I just could not go to sleep. Very unusual for me. Well, I have nothing to complain about as this very, very seldom happens to me. I am so grateful that I CAN sleep in later if needs be. This morning I planned to walk to the Post Office to collect a parcel of mine, and I need some nail polish so will walk on down to the pharmacy too. Seeing it i

Blog for Wednesday 12th August 2026
I got up way before four o’clock this morning – I simply just woke up and got up! I went through to my study and had my Quiet Time, uploaded my blog from yesterday and whipped through my emails – several which I had to answer later on in the day. I woke Ken moving at half past ten as he had an appointment with the eye specialist who recently replaced the one lens in his left eye, just for a checkup. All was well thankfully. On our way home Ken suggested that we stop for a cof

I fear for my future! My alarm began her horrible little ditty and I groped around in the dark to shut her up but only succeeded in knocking her to the ground and was then scrabbling to turn her off to stop that incessant noise! Shoo! Wonderful! Silence. But my alarm had gone off early as it was just after half past three! Rats! I was wide awake by then so got up. I had my Quiet Time, uploaded my blog and later checked emails. I showered and got dressed early as we had Bible

Blog for Monday 10th August 2026
I woke up and then decided that more sleep was needed so I rolled over and slept until twenty to five! Lazy wench! It had rained overnight – so that was my excuse for grabbling a few more minutes in the Land of Nod! Hah! I went through to my study and had my Quiet Time. Oh, how I love this room – it truly is my little bit of happiness filled with the things I love and the things that I like to do. A very special corner of my world. This morning sometime Matt’ will be swinging

Blog for Sunday 9th August 2026
I woke up late today – just before five o’clock, but I obviously needed those extra few minutes after my tummy bug, as it seemed to have washed me out. But I am 100% find again and ready to tackle this brand-new day with fervor! I had my Quiet Time, uploaded my blog and had a quick look at my emails before showering and getting dressed for church. I woke Ken up at eight o’clock and he rolled out of bed and began to get ready for church too. We left home at about a quarter pas

I woke up after a horribly restless night in bed, feeling like I had been in the tumble drier overnight! Yes! I felt that bad folks! I had my Quiet Time, uploaded my blog but when I went to check my emails, my laptop was not allowing me to get there. Ngrrrr! Patience was needed in large dollops! Ren’ (our daughter-in-law) sent me a text asking if she could pop over for a coffee this morning to which I said a very happy “Yes!” So, Ren’ came over at about eleven this morning be

Blog for Friday 7th August 2026
Yoh! I fell asleep watching TV last night – yikes, next step I will be dribbling and drooling as I nod off! Oh, dearie me. I shot out of bed in the wee hours of today – another nippy and verry crisp morning, but even so, I managed to get out of bed to greet this new day. I had my Quiet Time, uploaded my blog and will deal with my emails later in the day as I need to catch up with yesterday’s emails too. Today I also want to unpack that huge container of my embroidery things a

Brrr, it was really chilly this morning I think the weathermen said it was 4℃ - well, it certainly felt like it! I rolled out of a beautifully warm bed and straight into a wall of cold! Yikes! That woke me up – I think my eyes were frozen open for a while! I had my Quiet Time, read my emails and uploaded my blog, but will have to get back to the emails later in the day. I was absolutely angelic this morning in that I did all the ironing! Shoo, that was worth a couple of reall

Again, I thought that I had overslept but it was only three o’clock in the morning, so I snuggled down under the toasty warm duvet and waited until four o’clock before braving the chilly morning. And it was chilly! I had my Quiet Time, uploaded my blog and luckily all was well with the internet this morning, then I skimmed through my emails to check for anything urgent. Nothing was. I showered and dressed and left my man at about half past nine and headed off to Erina Fair.

I catapulted out of bed thinking I had woken up late, but nope, all was well and it was just after four o’clock, so I was not late at all! I had my Quiet Time, uploaded my blog and had a quick look at my emails. And I had no intention of being late. This was our first time attending this Bible Study group and I was not sure of where to go for it so wanted to get there early. I showered and dressed. I woke Ken up at eight o’clock as we were going to join the mixed group – men

“Just winging it—life, eyeliner, everything! 🕊” Yahee! The first day of a brand-new week arrived at our front door in the wee hours of today! I look forward to filling it with lots of happy moments. I got up and had my Quiet Time and then I had a mother and father of a battle to connect to the internet to upload my blog. Geepers! I turned off and on all the internet connections (three of them) plus my laptop, and just when I could do no more, it came back on with sincere apo

I was up very bright and early as I knew Mich’ and Robert would be fetching me at half past seven – or maybe earlier! I got up went through to my study and had my Quiet Time and ran through my notes for the Bible story lesson today. Then I showered and got dressed. Mich’ and Robert fetched me on time, and we whisked off to their church at Hope UC where Mich’ and I set the Sunday School room up before the kiddies arrived. Then we went through to the main church area for prayer

Blog for Saturday 1st August 2026
My goal this week: Keep the plants alive and the snacks plentiful.” Wow! Can you believe it – we are into August already of this year? Time is simply whipping by for me. I got up at four o’clock and shot through to the kitchen to quickly make a Milk Tart for Paddy so that Ken and Matt’ could take that to the farm with them this morning. . It is so nice to have an oven that actually works all the time - so it was a quick exercise for me to produce this Milk Tart for Paddy. Mat
