Me waiting online for the insurance compa

nies to give me quotes on Travel Insurance

This morning I was a bit of a slug as I only woke up late!

I shot out of bed like a cannon ball out a cannon with a startled look on my face! I hate waking up late at it was already a quarter to six!

Anyway, I had my Quiet Time, showered, got dressed and set off for the Post Office just before nine o’clock at a lickety-spit speed. I handed in my Passport Renewal form and photos and the guy there said it should be back quickly. I hope so!

I had woken Ken up before I set out for the Post Office as he had to contact the eye specialist pronto to change his cataract removal op dates, and then we would go there later for Ken to sign the new forms.

When I got back from my hasty walk to the Post Office, Ken and I set out first to the doctor’s rooms to hand in our forms of registration there and the request for our previous medical records from out doctor in Port Macquarie, which was followed by a visit to the eye specialist’s rooms to hand in the new forms.

Then I drove us up to Erina Fair – to the parking on the roof – yahee, I got there … and on purpose too! And I ran in to buy a mouse for my laptop as my old one had died!

On our way home I drove to Coles as Ken wanted more iced coffee and we needed milk too.

Then it was “Home again – home again jiggety-jog!”

Once home, Ken went off for a rest, and I sat and researched online for ages and ages - getting travel insurance prices. Yoh! as if getting old was not hard enough we also have to pay ridiculous prices for travel insurance.

Anyway, after much huff and puff and many insurance companies, I found a very reasonable one and booked with them. Yahee! Tick. Done. Another step closer to our cruise in October.

I had taken out of the freezer a small, rolled shoulder of lamb, so popped that in the oven and later added potatoes. I cut up some of the butternut I had bought when I went to the Post Office earlier and put out a bowl of peas too. So tonight, for our supper we had roost lamb, roast potatoes, butternut, peas and gravy – it was oh so good. It is my favourite meal – lamb and veggies! Mmm-m-mm-mmmm!

After all that, Ken was not hungry, so I ate on my own!

In the evening I did some more knitting and watched some TV – well listened to really on YouTube interviews.

What lesson did I learn today? Patience.

What am I grateful for today? That we got a few things done today that needed to be done – booked in with our new doctor; forms handed in for Ken’s eye ops - done and dusted; my passport renewal sent off; bought the mouse and Ken’s iced coffee!

My saying for today is …
