I did the whole slow motion getting-out-of-bed this morning – you know the long legs s-t-r-e-t-c-h while still in bed, the slow blink-blinking and then the stretching of the arms above the head followed by the ever so slow roll out of bed.
Then it was a one-two-three step into my study to have my Quiet Time and begin my day.
Today I decided that after my usual housekeeping, cleaning, washing or whatever, I would listen and watch some of my art course and maybe do some of the painting exercises too.
I began with the washing and hung it out as it was such a lovely sunny day. The only problem is that there is not that much warmth in the sun now days, so the washing takes forever and a day to dry. But it is just nice for it to flap happily in the sunshine for a few hours.
Then I swept and mopped as usual and had some toast and coffee before doing some of my art course.
I mean to mention that every day I do my Tai Chi exercises and am losing in size, not sure about weight, but most definitely size, which I am happy about.
Then at just after lunch time – or maybe closer to two o’clock actually, I took myself off for a quick and fast walk around the block.
First, I walked through the Doggie Park, down to the water – which is only a few meters away from our home.

Then I high stepped it up the hill at pace, and right at the top of the next hill was a glimpse of the water too, but that is behind us – well, a house or two behind us.

The road behind us.
What a lovely day out there.
I am so enjoying my walks and need to spread out further afield. I think I must try to get Ken to come with me. Maybe for us to go down to Terrigal Beach and walk along the boardwalk there as the scenery there is stunning. You walk along the edge and above of the sea against the cliffs.
Tonight I am grilling some small steaks which I will serve with mashed potatoes, broccoli and butternut, with maybe a pepper or cheese sauce.
I found some Census letters in our postbox so brought them in and I filled in ours online. Done.
And yes, that is my halo glinting the sunlight!
What lesson did I learn today? Several ways to do washes for my watercolors.
What am I grateful for today? A day bursting with sunshine.
My saying for today is …
