Oh I so love this!

I kept waking up in the wee hours of today, opening one eye and checking my i-phone to see the time – eventually I got up just after four o’clock.

I had my Quiet Time, uploaded my blog and checked emails before starting my day.

I had made a list of what I wanted to get done today and was sure I had enough energy to complete my tasks. That is something I am loving about living here and being retired, there is absolutely no rush!

First thing, after getting showered and dressed was I did ALL the ironing. Such a good girl and I felt positively angelic for having done that. As you do!

I did a few more stitches on my cross stitch as I am still not where I want to be up to before we leave on our cruise. So, best I hurry up!

Next, I unpacked the container that came down from the farm the last time. It was mainly bowls and beautiful cut glass platters which needed to be washed before I could put them away.

Next, I worked outside sorting the containers out there – they will eventually be stored on the shelving that Mich’ and Robert built for us the other day. They want to move the shelving unit into the far corner brefore we load it with containers, so I will have to wait for them to do that as it is very heavy and even with a serious heave-ho from me it moves not a centimeter!

Next, I sorted out the box with all my winter wraps, scarves and the likes. I have yet to find a spot to put them!

In the early afternoon I lay down and allowed myself to read several pages of my book and then got p and did a little more cross stitching.

Today has been a heavily overcast day, with very grey skies but no rain or drizzle – just the threat of that! Tbhen at well after four this afternoon the sun popped out in all her glory for a short time.

I am looking forward to Mich’ and Robert getting back home from their break at Seal Rocks with friends this long weekend.

In the late afternoon I put away all the ironing I had done earlier, so everything is once again neat and tidy.

Tonight I will give Ken the creamy bacon and chicken meal with veggies (that he did not have last night) and I will have boiled eggs with toast. Something light and easy for me to do.

I missed my ducks today – I put their bread and seed out but I did not see them, although I am quite sure they would have been here. The bush turkey was here and a rather large crow too.

What lesson did I learn today? To ponder, plan and proceed – that way I get a lot done in a day.

What am I grateful for today? Another happy day in my life.

My saying for today is …
