2. Blog for Saturday 29th August 2026

If I miss a day, I add 20 minutes
To the next day. This has truly
Been a game changer.
Tomorrow I’m supposed to run
For 4 months!
Oh, I had a wonderful sleep last night without waking up at all or hearing Ken cough. I was, as they say, ‘lights out!’
I got up and had my Quiet Time, uploaded my blog – again with hiccups with the internet. It seems to be a little unreliable that early in the day somehow.
I also checked my emails just to make sure Skymesh does not start bouncing my emails as they term my Inbox full VERY quickly.
I got myself dressed for the day and then put the towels and bathmat in the wash and had to tumble dry them as it was fairly cool today and very overcast, so no chance of sunshine to dry them for me.
Today I spent the morning tidying my desk drawers and desktop as I quickly make a mess with laptops (yes the two of them!) second screen, books, notes, files, and my cross-stitch paraphernalia there too!
All neat and tidy again with a swift flick of my wrist!
This morning I allowed myself a morning of studying the Book of Ezekiel – a book that I am not that familiar with although I have read through it several times when going through the whole Bible. I just wanted to really dig deep into it and so made a beginning this morning. Goody-goody-gumdrops!
At about midday the sun popped her head out from behind the clouds and scattered her sunshine everywhere – just beautiful!
In the late afternoon I did a few more stitches on my cross-stitch, and if I can do a couple of stitches each day – although slow, I will eventually complete this pattern. I would like to frame it and put it up on the wall in our lounge area. Maybe above the TV?
I went outside and gave the bush turkey – also a frequent visitor to our little garden - some rice and bread with the magpie waiting patiently for a crumb or two.
I cannot wait to get a bird bath and feeder as I am sure we will see a lot more birds than just the magpies, wattle birds, ducks, and bush turkey.
What lesson did I learn today? To pace myself wisely.
What am I grateful for today? The weekend.
My saying for today is …
