I was up at four this morning. I had slept in Mich’s study and so had my laptop set up on her desk already, so I was able to be as quiet as a mouse, so did not disturb Josh’ or Paulina this morning.
I went downstairs to shower and get dressed for the day at just after half past six as I thought the plumber was coming back to work today, but in the end he did not. Anyway, I was ready for the new day, dressed and squeaky clean nice and early.
Josh’ and Paulina – once they were up and wide awake came into my room and had a good chat with me before they had to pack and get themselves ready to catch the bus to the station. They caught the train to meet up with Ethan and Christina in New Castle and then the four of them were travelling together to Seal Rocks to meet up with the rest of the family already there.
Josh’ and Paulina introduced me to a fantastic word game you can download onto your mobile, but the only problem is my iPhone version is too old and so I cannot download it. I will try to do so on the iPad when I get back home.
Josh’ and Paulina left here at just after midday and I waved them off as they legged it out down the street to catch their bus, loaded down with all things needed for camping.
I then settled in to transcribe the rest of Daniel 10, and I also finished transcribing two chapters of Exodus.
Then I got out my knitting and knitted a few rows before deciding to watch a bit of TV. My problem was I could not get the TV off YouTube, and I will not fiddle with someone else’s TV controls in case I mess their programs up. I know it is some simple step to correct that hiccup, but instead I just flicked from one story to another on YouTube.
It was good company to have someone talking in the background as I knitted and knitted and knitted. Each row of this little baby jersey that I am presently knitting is almost two hundred stitches, so each row takes me a while to do, therefore, to be able to just sit, listen and half watch several stories was wonderful as I got a fair bit of my knitting done.
Yahee! My sister arrived here to have a sleep over here with me at about six o’clock – after her work which was so nice.
Dee, (my sister) and I took little Savvy for her walk which Savvy was simply delighted to be doing. Oh, the delicious smells along the way were tantalizing her little nostrils as she paused, sniffed and then trotted on.
I love the way dogs make small and simple things so important, for actually, in the end they are!
I put out snacks for us two dears and we sat and chatted before watching some hilarious reels and laughing our heads off. So good for the soul!
I ordered in some Thai meals for us and they were delicious – we had the pepper squid, and the sauce was ever so yummy, plus I served the squid with the savory rice from the night before.
Eventually, the two of us plus one cat and one little dog retired to our resting places, and crawled into bed and were soon fast asleep.
It had been a good day for me.
What lesson did I learn today? One stitch at a time and I will create a baby jersey.
What am I grateful for today? A visit from my sister.
My saying for today is …
