“Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!” I sent an ecard to my man and hopefully he opens it first thing this morning. It is just a lovely thing to be able to tell someone as often as you can that you love them.
I was up nice and early this morning, and I love the way Savvy gets up with me and then runs back to bed and snuggles into it while it is still nice and warm.
The day arrived with edges – just the odd soft downpour of rain which came and went. There was a gentle wind blowing and the sky was crammed with pale grey clouds, and the sun tried desperately to display herself in all her glory by ripping holes in the cloudy sky and shining through at every opportunity she got. Beautiful.
I woke my sister up this morning, and we had a coffee together before she headed off back to her home to feed her cat and get ready for work. We both slept well and it was great that she can spend some time with me whilst I was here on the Central Coast.
At about eight o’clock I waved her off and then I went downstairs to shower and get dressed for the day. I love it – every time I go downstairs, I am followed by one little fluffy dog and one very old cat. They wait patiently for me and then the three of us make our way upstairs together again! There’s a lot of togetherness happening here which makes me feel very loved!
I have had a wonderful day just fluffing around! I did some transcribing – then knitted – watched some documentaries – and knitted. I tidied the lounge and kitchen – and knitted. I went outside with one dog and one cat - and then knitted. Just a wonderful day of doing whatever I fancied doing!
My sister got back here at about four o’clock and we both settled in for a good chat and lots and lots of laughter. Our movie for the evening was “Joe Black” – a movie I had not watched and which she was insistent that I would love.
I did.
For our supper tonight I made more rice, and we finished off the pepper squid. That is the first time that I have had takeaways when the portions delivered were enormous. It was once again a delicious meal that we both enjoyed.
It was late by the time our movie ended, and then we all headed off to bed – one fluffy dog, one old cat, my sister and I!
I so enjoyed today.
What lesson did I learn today? To enjoy every second of the day.
What am I grateful for today? Time spent with my sister.
My saying for today is …
