I slowly rolled out of bed as there was absolutely no hurry to do anything. People, I am seriously getting used to this kind of living!
I slowly shuffled my way into my little study and had my Quiet Time, but then my laptop screen had gone all haywire! The second screen was not playing nice either!
I checked with AI what was going on and apparently after an update (which had taken place a few hours earlier) this can affect the screens.
G=r=e=a=t! I knew there was a problem but now how to fix it?
I battled to get the mouse to work too, the screens refused any help I tried to give them, and it was a l-o-n-g exercise of patience and sheer determination to win, or before I began to see any light on the horizon.
It was good for me to have to battle it out on my own and in the end I won the battle, but it took me far longer than I wanted it to!
I did not do the ironing as I felt I had enough of a battle on my hands with the laptop and second screen thanks! It will have to wait until tomorrow.
I was going to take Paddy’s birthday gifts over to their home in Terrigal but Matt’ kindly offered to pick them up from here as he was passing us on his way to work. So, Matt’ popped in and I saw him for a few minutes before he headed off to work.
Sorry, I do not have much to tell you as I was head-down-rear-end-up for most of today trying to get my laptop in working order again.
In the late afternoon I allowed myself to do a few stitches of my cross stitching before today disappeared completely.
Tonight, I thought Ken and I could maybe watch a bit of TV together, and Robert and Mich’ had suggested that “Clarkson’s Farm” would be something that Ken would enjoy.
Ken was not keen so I decided that I would watch it for a bit anyway and see what it was all about. I loved it and laughed at this guy’s learning how to farm, learning to be at the mercy of the weather, costs and sheer frustration that come with farming too. This is the guy – Jermey Clarkson – oh he of large mouth and not scared to use it – in the car world of racing, cars, and lots of money.
I went to bed nice and early but then was unable to get to sleep as Ken was wide awake and the flickering light of his i-phone caused havoc with any thought of my sleeping. In the end Ken got up and left the room as he had slept for most of the day and so was not ready to sleep – which was very nice of him, but I was by then wide awake and unable to sleep anyway!
I was still awake when my good man came to bed. So, I guess I may not feel that energetic when I get up tomorrow!
What lesson did I learn today? Determination to win.
What am I grateful for today? That Matt’ came and collected Paddy’s gifts from here.
My saying for today is …
