Yeah it could but … probably not!
I rolled out of bed at ten past four – yes, I had grabbed a few extra minutes to lie in bed – what a lazy lump I am!
I definitely slept better last night than the night before, but I still woke up each time Ken got up as I so aware that he could trip and fall if he does not pay attention to where he places his feet!
I got up just after four, made myself a coffee and had my Quiet Time – no Bible Study really this morning as the notes or video skip one day (Sunday) but as we, in Australia, are a day ahead, it affects me on a Monday. So, I did some more notes on the study I am doing for our Bible Study Group instead.
When Paddy came though I went and had a lovely hot shower and got dressed for the day. Then Matt’ slowly uncurled himself from his bed and both Paddy and Matt’ set off to finish the fencing and put up another gate towards the back of the farm – near Paddy’s fishing spot.
Then when they came back here they put those two large wooden boxes that have been outside for months and months inside the top shed so I could begin to unpack them.
We were all rather nervous about the state of the contents within these boxes, but although the one box – the top one – had let a lot of the water in and spoilt some of the bedding, it was not nearly as bad as I expected. So that was great! I thought the bottom box with all my calligraphy books et cetera would be the one badly spoilt, but that one was fine, dry as a bone!
Bless Paddy, he took a whole lot of the jackets that are still covered in concrete powder dust back home with him to get them washed – that is a huge help for me. “Thanks Paddy!”
I did all my ironing today – which I am delighted to have done. I love that feeling of not having that hanging over my head. It is all done and dusted for the next few days at least.
I took these photos of Paddy and Matt’ leaving us – they went over on the tractor so that should we need help crossing the river over the next few days or weeks, someone can help us from that side, but that meant Paddy and Matt' were hanging onto plastic bin bags with the jackets in them, their bags, i-pads, i-phones and the likes as they banged, bounced and boogied down the road and over the river!

Matt' is sitting where I normally sit!

There they go down to the river … and on their way home.
Ken had a snooze this afternoon while I managed to open both of those large wooden boxes. I took out the bedding that is spoiled and will have to burn that, but I managed to rescue some throws and cushion covers, which was good. I washed them and they have come out well.
Tomorrow I will start to unpack the two boxes which are full of books, games, slow cookers, bowls, serving dishes and so on. Now to find a place for each item! That will be the challenge!
We have had rain off and on – not a great deal, thank goodness, but accompanied by rolling thunder and sounding ominous, but just light showers resulted after all that noise!
Tonight, Ken and I can finish off the lasagna and sticky date pudding, and early to bed again.
What lesson did I learn today? To see what I can do and do it! (That included ironing!)
What am I grateful or today? The huge amount of work that Paddy and Matt’ got through this weekend. “Well done you two!”
My saying for today is … "Happy Easter everyone!
