Blog for Sunday 26th October 2025

ree

Again, last night, I had a broken sleep, waking up every few hours. I think the reason for that was I knew I had to get up and get to church, plus I was still getting used to the different sounds, noises and creaks of this home.

I got up just before four o'clock and quietly tiptoed through to the study to have my Quiet Time and write my blog.

Mich' had to pack up her things and she kindly took the one yellow bin out for me as it was chockablock full of stuff, and I will need to use it sometime while I am here. Mich' then packed her car and not long after that we both left for Wauchope to meet up with Ken before church.

Mich' could only stay to say a brief "Hi- 'Bye" to Ken as she had a LOT of work waiting back at her home before she starts work tomorrow. They have new tenants moving into one of their properties and she has a lot to get done before that can happen.

It was so good to be back at church, and the congregation sang "Happy Birthday" to me again - they did that last Sunday, but as I was away, apparently, Ken collected the lolly on my behalf and one of the guys in the congregation was horrified that Ken had eaten it too! So, I was given another lolly today!

Ken brought my car to church and then he went back to Ellenborough with Sandra and Noel from church, where Paddy fetched him, and took him back to the farm. I then drove back here in Port Macquarie.

It was strange not having Mich' with me anymore, but Felix was delighted to have me home again.

I spent the rest of the day doing this and that. I did some washing and hung it out to dry in the lovely hot sunshine. I sat outside with Felix so he could show off in the garden with me watching him! I unpacked the bags I had asked Ken to bring into church for me. And I also read my book!

I watched some TV in the evening with Felix sitting alongside me as I did so. Good! He is beginning to settle down with me.

For supper I had some of my homemade soup and toast, followed by some Kiwi fruit as dessert.

What lesson did I learn today? To be grateful for each and every day.

What am I grateful for today? My family and friends.

My saying for today is ...
