I woke up at about twenty to five - lazy wench! But again. the early morning was chilly and demanded a little lie in under the snuggly warm duvet.

I love the way Felix hears me move and he is there under my feet saying, "Good morning!" While I am waiting for the kettle to boil, I feed him, which I am sure he loves.

I had my Quiet Time, uploaded my blog, answered emails, did my exercises and a history lesson online before I had breakfast. I am really trying to set up a good early morning routine for every day. Next, I need to up my intake of water as I do not drink enough water every day.

I contacted the school in question to make sure I had the correct details before I had to contact the SRE teachers under my care. This last school term of the year is always a bit messy as there is a lot going on at school, and this is a two-week break for the SRE teachers that teach there as the children have swimming galas on. I notified the SRE teachers involved at that school.

Today the yellow and green bins were collected, and I had the relevant bins out and once I heard the truck collect them, I went out and brought Mariaan's bins back in and collected her post too. I am not used to that as we have no service like that on the farm. I even checked online what goes into the red, green and yellow bins as I did not want to make a mistake!

Today has been a strange set of day weather-wise - overcast, cool but then the sun would pop out and disappear again. Now as the day has leaked out it feels stormy. So maybe we will get some rain tonight.

I had a quiet day and did a lot of knitting, but this baby shawl will take me a long time to finish but I will finish it as quickly as I am able to.

I think I will go into town tomorrow and have my hair cut and do a little bit of shopping while I am out. I feel incredibly brave as I was at one stage really nervous to drive in town - caused by a lack of driving when I had no car. But now ... watch out world my confidence is returning big time! At least I have not driven over anyone - well that I can recollect doing - of late!

I did some studying today and a cryptic crossword to make sure that my brain is still working! Sometimes I am sure it just crashes and goes blank!

What lesson did I learn today? To thoroughly enjoy this peace and quiet while I have it.

What am I grateful for today? A day of quietness and rest.
