Last night I was convinced it was time for me to get up but when I checked my i-phone it was only twenty to twelve – almost the middle of the night. I soon dropped off to sleep again thankfully!
I was up just after four this morning and our rooster, Cock-a-Doodle Doo begins his crowing as soon as I turn the lights on. Actually, yesterday I gave him a firm klop on the side of his head, because he was chasing after me when I went to check the rain gauge. It took him a few seconds to realise that I had hit him and now hopefully he will leave me alone. Though I doubt it, knowing his character!
This morning after my Quiet Time I began to go through all the legal hoo-hah of Trusts, pensions, bank accounts, blah blah fish paste and what our next move in leaving the farm will be like. Let me just tell you here, it was not light or entertaining reading! I felt cross-eyed and none the wiser after all that! I will have to get someone else who understands this legal jargon to explain it in much simpler terms to me, I fear!
Today I have spent a lot of time updating the Authorization Forms for all the schools that have SRE Teachers that are under my care. Then I typed out the invoices to all the churches involved - those who donate to SRE for the books, manuals and magazines for the children.
Shoo, I am NOT a natural at that sort of stuff, admin., checking WWCC updates and blah blah fish paste, but someone has to do it and as no one put their hand up, I took on the role of Co-Ordinator – silly me!
I decided to have my main meal at lunch time today as then I can go to bed early tonight, and not worry about having a heavy tummy, bursting at the seams! May be it would stop my nightmares? Worth a try I think!
Today has been another really hot day, which sucked all the energy out of me and I sort of limped around like a wet dish cloth, not much use to anyone, but I am delighted that I got all that SRE admin. stuff done.
In the late afternoon I did a bit of a study on the Book of Proverbs which was very interesting, instead of reading my book.
At almost five o'clock, Ken astride a quad bike and all four dogs disappeared over the hill, to go check on the back of the farm. Ken was gone for over two hours, so I phoned, imagining him stuck up a tree, or down in a gulley or walking back home because the quad bike had ceased ... but nope, he was just enjoying being outside and was sitting quietly watching the cattle! Good for the soul.
What lesson did I learn today? Not to put off what I do not feel like doing. Just get in and do it!
What am I grateful for today? That I got all the SRE admin stuff sorted out. Yahee for me!
My saying for today is …
