Wow! Today marks the second anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel. Horrific. Man’s inhumanity to man.
I woke up at three o’clock this morning just because my body said, “Wake up woman!” And for no other reason. So, I got up, made myself a coffee and went up to my studio to have my Quiet Time.
Tomorrow Josh’ – one of our grandsons, flies back from Italy where he has been filming and taking photographs for a wedding, and he is flying all the way back just to be here for my birthday. Straight after my birthday he has to fly back to Italy for another wedding, how special is that.
Today I have been one busy old lady!
I began in the bathroom - cleaned the shower, swept and mopped. Then I also washed and tumble dried the towels in there.
Later I hung the partly dried washing out to flap in the breeze and catch some fresh air in their fibres.
I cleaned the two fridges in our living area as I will be grocery shopping tomorrow and will need nice clean fridges for that.
I transferred money across to a friend of ours as I have bought their TV cabinet, TV, sound system et cetera, which we will put in the main shed area. We are picking them up tomorrow when we go to town for the day. Yahee!
I also made an effort to contact a friend of mine today as sometimes time just squitters passed and before you know it you have not made time to chat to the very people you enjoy. We had a good long chat to a catch up with what we have been up to of late. Good.
Next, I wiped down our leather lounge suite with a soft, damp cloth, let it dry, then applied the leather cream I use to keep the leather supple. That was hard, and I worked up a serious sweat as I worked rubbing and rubbing the cream in. Done!
Ah Yes! Recently I joined an online exercise class and am trying to motivate myself to get nice and fit in my old age. My goal for now – just my first little goal, is to do 21days of exercise without breaking the continuity. I am only on day 4, but I am determined to meet my first goal. Then I will set another goal.
And yes, something else I am doing is doing a daily online history class too – as I only did history at Primary School so there are some serious gaps in my understanding of history! So, at the moment I am learning about the Medieval Age. I will let you know if I become intelligent, but do not hold your breath for that result! You may just pop your clogs doing that!
Today has felt really stormy, but nothing materialised at all. We are needing rain desperately in our tanks, so hopefully soon that will happen.
What lesson did I learn today? To work down my ‘To Do List’ and do everything written down.
What am I grateful for today? A happy phone call to catch up with a friend.
My saying for today is
