Oh no! My body yelled silently when my alarm clock began her horrible little early morning ditty. I could not believe my time for sleeping was over for today.
I managed to shuffle out of our bedroom without sulking and made myself a mug of coffee and went up to my studio to have my Quiet Time.
I must admit I love my Quiet Time, so that’s what propels me out of bed every single morning. I cannot think of a time when I have not got up. Maybe when I have had an allergic reaction to pumpkins seeds years ago and have been up vomiting all night, but I normally always get up happily, or not so happily on some morning!
I am so enjoying doing the Two-Year Chronological Bible study again this year, and I will, God willing, do it again every two years if I am able to do so.
I got Ken up just before eight o’clock, I showered and got dressed, as I knew he would have to take the quad bike off the back of the ute’ before we left the farm so needed time to do that.
G-r-e-a-t! I make a plan but honestly do not always expect it to work!
This morning Ken got into the ute’ but ... bless it (not!) it would not start at all! That meant I had to push it! Heave ho me hearty and all that! Yes, with the quad bike still on the back, and I almost blew both ends of my body off doing so! Ken kept starting the ute’ so it sort of bunny hopped forwards and allowed me to push and get it to the top of the hill and Ken was able to roll it down and start it.
Welcome to my life people!
After all that kafuffle, Ken and I were the first to arrive at Marg’s and Ian’s home. We waited and then Noel and Sandra arrived next and we went around the back to get in - (per kind instructions from Ian and Marg) and we made ourselves a coffee while we waited for Marg’s and Ian to return from an acupuncture session for Marg’s, and for Keith and Julie to also arrive. Lyn was unable to come today but will be back next week.
Oh, it was great for us to be together again. I really love this group of people. Today we listened and watched my DVD on the Book of Daniel. chapter 7 – a really interesting chapter.
As normal we had a wonderful spread of eats for our morning teatime afterwards, and it is always such fun to sit, sip, chomp and chat together. Unfortunately, Marg’s was still having the odd turn of vertigo, but the acupuncturist said she will soon benefit from her session there today. I pray so.
From Bible Study Group Ken wanted to get a new tyre fitted on the ute’ but they were unable to fit us in for that today as they were so busy.
So, I went into Ritchies to grab a few groceries and then we headed off to pick up the quad bike seat that Ken had had re-done for the big quad bike. It looks very professional. I want this guy to reupholster my one armchair and he said he can do that. Yahee!
Then we headed back home.
Once home I unpacked and put away the groceries, and Ken headed off for his siesta. I then went up to my studio to continue typing out the Bible readings that I have missed from the very beginning of the year. I will slowly catch up with them. I will do the daily reading and then also do one that I missed, so that I will soon be right up to date! I think I have about eight still catch up on, but I can do that.
For our supper, as Kena and I were not hungry we had cheese and crackers, and then I disappeared and headed for bed.
What lesson did I learn today? To live in the moment.
What am I grateful for today? That our Bible Study Group has started up again.
My saying for today is ….
