I woke up a couple of times during the night and in the early morning, so I only got up just after five this morning! G-r-e-a-t, just when I needed to be up early!
Never mind, I made myself a coffee and tiptoed up the stairs to my studio to have my Quiet Time.
About an hour or so later I heard Paddy moving around downstairs, so I went down and began to make the sandwiches for his day of training these people up from Sydney, and I also made sandwiches for our Bible Study Group’s morning tea.
It was a bit of a rush-rush and hurry=hurry sort of a morning as Paddy had to leave the farm by half past seven, or a quarter to eight at the latest, plus we were also leaving the farm too and added to that chaos was we had an electricity outage, which meant I had to fill a pot of water to leave on the stove in case someone needed a tea or coffee and one can use the gas top to boil the water.
Ken took Paddy across the river to his vehicle and Paddy had had to try earlier in the morning, to get whatever he had on his laptop into his head or onto his phone as without electricity he would not be able to access it on his laptop! Poor guy, what a morning!
A little later Ken and I went into Wauchope in two vehicles, as I had to drop my car off at the air con’ people for them to check and fix my car’s one!
Ken picked me up from there and we hared around to Ian and Marg’s home where our Bible Study Group were meeting … whoo-hoo, we were the second ones there even after all that hoo-hah of a rush in the morning!
Our Bible Study Group meeting was great, and we managed to get through the Book of Daniel chapter 9 – not an easy chapter to follow and understand, but I loved it. We then celebrated with a wonderful teatime afterwards, and Ian also spoke to me about taking over my role as the SRE Co-Ordinator when we leave to move to the Central Coast Marvelous!
This is a photo of our teatime treats - and this happens every week - always delicious teatimes!

From Ian and Margs’ we dropped off all the school notification forms at one of the SRE teacher’s homes, and he saw us and came out for a quick chat.
Ken then drove us to the Two Dollar shop as I needed a darning needle so I can finish sewing up the little bolero jersey that I knitted for Holly, then I can give it to her on Sunday.
We stopped off at a little café for Ken to have a coffee and me a cool drink to waste time while we waited to hear if my car had an air con’ that worked again. As we were sitting there, a couple from church came in and they came and sat with us and had a long chat.
Ken then had a milk shake, and he had just ordered it when the air con’ people phoned to say my car was ready for pick up.
Ah no! They have to order some of the parts needed to repair my car's air con',, but nothing too serious thankfully, and as I will be away next week, I booked my car in for the 20th and on that day, I shall have an air con’ that works properly again. Wonderful!
I texted Paddy to let him know that we had left the quad bike down at the river for him to be able to get back home here on the farm if he arrived before or after us back home.
We got back home long before Paddy in the end. We got home at four o’clock and Paddy got back here at seven o’clock, after a successful day training the Sydney-ites!
I baked some succulent meat pies to be served with mashed potatoes, peas, butternut, and cauliflower cheese for our supper tonight. Again, everyone dished up their own meal and heated it in the microwave when they were ready to do so, as Paddy had a lot of work to prepare for, for tomorrow’s training in Port Macquarie, Ken was not that hungry earlier on, and I wanted to watch a TV program.
I, actually, was too tired to watch TV and was soon sound asleep.
What lesson did I learn today? To be patient and wait for my air con’ t
o be fixed.
What am I grateful for today? That Paddy’s training went well.
My saying for today is …
