My alarm began her horrible little ditty and I groped around in the dark to shut her up but only succeeded in knocking her to the ground and was then scrabbling to turn her off to stop that incessant noise!
Shoo! Wonderful! Silence. But my alarm had gone off early as it was just after half past three! Rats!
I was wide awake by then so got up.
I had my Quiet Time, uploaded my blog and later checked emails.
I showered and got dressed early as we had Bible Study Group this morning. I woke Ken up later, but he was not feeling well – tummy bug of some sort, so he stayed in bed.
I drove to Bible Study Group on my own and even parked in a new area (to me), but I got there and in time as well!
Today there were two new faces to me – Ginny and Nick her husband, plus Mariekie, Peter, Bob, Keith and Mal’. Keith took the Bible Study again today and he did a brilliant one and we all enjoyed it immensely.
Just after I got there, Young Will – one of the young pastors – came in to welcome me to the Group, which was very nice of him, and then Keith asked me how I had become a Christian!
W-e-l-l, I asked how long they had! But I told them a brief edition of my answer to his question, and everyone was deadly quiet as they listened to my story – you could have heard a pin drop … and on the carpet!
Our morning in Bible Study was really good today and I thoroughly enjoyed it and was so sorry that Ken was not well enough to be there with me
From the church I went to Coles to grab a few items and then on back home.
Once home I put away the groceries and then I unpacked the whole – huge plastic container – with all my embroidery books, and UFO’s (Unfinished Objects) and sorted them into different piles.
Tonight, Mich’ and Robert are coming over to watch “The Block” on TV with us, so I bought some cheeses, savoury biscuits and I have other bits and pieces already in our fridge -pate and salami. Then to finish off the evening I will break two large slabs of chocolate into bite sized pieces to have with our coffees.
Sorting out my embroidery container took me forever and a day to do and I am hoping that I have done it well. I basically need another cupboard, so will have to keep my eyes open for one on Market Place. It will be my Craft Cupboard.
What lesson did I learn today? To work slowly and methodically to get things done.
What am I grateful for today? Another lovely day.
My saying for today is …
