I woke up early then snoozed for a little longer before getting out of bed.

I was having my Quiet Time when I could hear this soft ringing sound – very faint, but definitely something ringing. I checked Ken’s phone, then mine, I went up to the TV and the ringing sound was closer there, but it definitely was not coming from the TV. I tried to follow the sound, which was very soft, but I eventually followed it to Ken’s side of the bed, and it was our ship phone! The kitchen or gallery was letting us know that our breakfast was on its way!

Aha! I fear we got someone else’s breakfast order as we had stipulated for our breakfast to arrive later, plus I had not ordered eggs and bacon et cetera. Never mind we ate what we got!

I was impressed at how everything was still so nice a hot, especially the coffee. Ken had orange juice, eggs, bacon, tomato, mushrooms and potato slices. We were also given post toasties, which we did not eat as there was too much food! I had a grapefruit half, (I love that for breakfast), plus the eggs and bacon meal which I had not ordered, toast and marmalade, and coffee.

Wow! What a way to start our day!

Today our ship it definitely rolling more as there are large swells on the ocean, but honestly, you hardly know that you are on a ship!  Just a gentle rock ‘n roll action.

This morning I filled in the declaration for New Zealand for both Ken and myself. Done and dusted. Good girl!

By a quarter to nine Ken was fast asleep again but I had a shower and got dressed as I was off to see if I could get into the ‘Sketch with the Local Resident Artist’ this morning. It should be fun even if I cannot get in I can watch.

Today I have a few things “To Do” on board – and hopefully I will get to do them all! Whoo-hoo!

Oh rats! I was late for the sketching class as I think it had something to do with this cruise being an hour forward (for New Zealand time) or something like that. Anyway, I will join and do a class on another sailing day, as there are a few days for these classes. But I got to walk around and see what the passengers taking part were doing. That ws fun.

I had to come all the way back to the cabin and Ken was up which was good.

I would like to try watching movie up on the 14 Deck (I think it is) just for the experience really. I have a vague recollection of someone telling me that this is a good movie too – “Project Hail Mary”

I am also going to go to The Theatre tonight to see “Colours of Life”, which should be good too.

W-e-l-l, Ken and I watched people competing in the Music Trivia and then we had a cool drink sitting alongside a window before attempting to get to the Outdoors Movie Screen.

Once we were on Deck 14 and then Deck 15 but it was rather cool up there and we did not find the movie screen, and Ken had had enough of walking, so we went back to our cabin instead.

A sculpture that I loved on Deck 15 – note there are deck chairs EVERYWHERE and note the calmness of the sea!

It was far too chilly to watch a movie outdoors, so we decided to attend The Theatre tonight. Both Ken and I thoroughly enjoyed the show – the stage was unbelievable – disappearing, rising up, going down, the lights were fantastic and the acts were breathtakingly good. I think I will make that an evening ritual.

We were soon back in our snug cabin and nice and warm again and I read for a bit while Ken did his Code Word puzzles, and then it was time to slide into the Land of Snort, Snore and snooze.

What lesson did I learn today? To just have a go!

What am I grateful for today? Another day on board this incredible cruise ship.

My saying for today is …
