My youngest sister – Sheelagh – sent me this warning to be careful if or when I take anti-seasick tablets on our cruise - to make sure that they ARE anti-seasick tablets! Heh-heh!

I was up and out of bed before four o’clock this morning – as excited as a toddler for it being my birthday!

After my Quiet Time I showered and dressed early to give Ken to time to do the same, and then I drove us off to church. One of the young pastors took the service today and it was very good. We stayed for a coffee afterwards to chat to friends, and I also went over to a lady named Joan, who had her birthday today too but she is 91 today and looking lovely. Hope lies ahead!

After church Mich’ came to fetch us while Robert, Josh’, and Paulina went down to the water in Terrigal to book us a table at the restaurant upstairs where we would be overlooking the water.

Oh, it was beautiful – the day just picture perfect and we sat under an enormous umbrella so were shaded against the harshest of sun rays and what a wonderful view we had.

Looking to our right from the restaurant - overlooking the Terrigal Boardwalk

and looking to our left ...

The six of us had a delicious lunch together and I felt very special.

After lunch Josh’ and Paulina went off to Erina Fair, we dropped Robert at home, and Mich’ drove Ken and I to Erina Fair as Ken wanted to pick up his new glasses.

Mich’ dropped us and went off to park and I walked in with Ken to SpecSavers. What a lovely surprise as my new glasses were also in! So, both of us had our new glasses fitted at the same time. Marvellous!

Then Mich’ and I left Ken sitting in one of the many cafes and we went off to do some birthday shopping for me. Mich’ wanted to get me a light weight trench coat – something I have wanted for a long time, but there honestly was not anything that I liked – we started off looking and trying on in Myers. In the end I got two pairs of jeans - a blue and a black pair plus a dear little pale pink jacket. I was thrilled with those and Mich’ also bought me another little plant for our home as she knows how much I love to have plants in our home.

Then Mich’ kindly drove us home and we said our farewells as she returned to their home and left us here.

About twenty minutes later Ren’ and Matt’ arrived to wish me “Happy Birthday” with a birthday and gift card – so my spoiling just went on and on and on.

Tomorrow Ken will get me a bird bath for my gift – something I really would love to have in our little garden to bring even more birds here.

Ken was whacked as he had not slept at all today, so he went off to bed early. I sat in our lounge and watched “The Block” with a smile on my face.

I had had a lovely day and felt very loved. I had so many phone calls, texts, emails, ecards and was so spoilt.

What lesson did I learn today? Birthdays can be great fun.

What am I grateful for today? All the love shown me on my special day.

My saying for today is …
