I was up very bright and early as I knew Mich’ and Robert would be fetching me at half past seven – or maybe earlier!

I got up went through to my study and had my Quiet Time and ran through my notes for the Bible story lesson today.

Then I showered and got dressed.

Mich’ and Robert fetched me on time, and we whisked off to their church at Hope UC where Mich’ and I set the Sunday School room up before the kiddies arrived. Then we went through to the main church area for prayer before we began.

Now, Mich’ and I have been teaching and running the “Little Ones” room at church – the two years old to five years old group. But this morning we asked if it was possible for us to teach one of the older groups of children – sort of Primary School age. Natalia (the lady in charge of the Sunday School rosters) was absolutely delighted – actually I will go so far as saying she almost leapt for joy – for us to move into that age group. I am happy about that too as really in the “Littlies Class” we are really just babysitting them as the actual amount of Bible teaching is minimal.

Mich’ and I will swop over to the older children’s class in November, after Ken and I get back from our cruise to New Zealand!

This morning at Sunday School we only had seven children, so it was a very easy class to manage, but oh dear, they made such a mess of all the toys but that was very easily sorted out before the next Sunday School class began.

After church Mich’ took me to the Gosford RSL which has fairly recently been refurbished. It was lovely and I could not get over the thousands and thousands of living plants that were absolutely everywhere in it – really lovely.

We had a late breakfast there – Mich’ ordered eggs Benedict and I had smashed avo’ on toast with poached eggs – which arrived beautifully presented and delicious.

Robert remained at church on Door Duty as he had a double shift today, so he joined us later for a coffee. Then he returned to church just before the congregation came out again.

Mich’ and I went across to Bunnings as Mich’ needed to get a rake and I bought a hosepipe for our garden and two pot plant dishes for the two large pot plants that I have in our lounge.

We picked Robert up from church and then they dropped me off at home for the afternoon as they were busy sorting out their garage for the day.

I spent a quiet afternoon here at home knitting and listening and watching police documentaries.

Then at six o’clock Robert was back here to pick me up and he took me back to their home on, to have supper with them – delicious wraps with mince, sliced onion, cheeses, hot sauce and Greek yoghurt – very yummy!

Then … tar-rah – “The Block” (which is a series on renovating homes) began – the first of the latest series! This series is something that Mich’ and Robert watch avidly, being into renovating homes themselves. It did not disappoint, so now I will have something to watch in the evenings as Mich’ and I discuss every evening, the pluses and minuses of what the people have renovated in the show!

Mich’ and Robert brought me back home and Robert saw me into our little home before they headed back home.

I was soon in bed, but I battled to go to sleep tonight so I watched several “Would I Lie to You?” shows before I keeled over and went to sleep at long last.

What lesson did I learn today? It is wonderful to be so close to family here.

What am I grateful for today? That soon I will be teaching the older children in Sunday School.
