A friend of mine sent this to me! Love it!
A friend of mine sent this to me! Love it!

This morning I only woke up at a quarter past six as I had a terrible night last night – I just could not go to sleep. Very unusual for me.  Well, I have nothing to complain about as this very, very seldom happens to me. I am so grateful that I CAN sleep in later if needs be.

This morning I planned to walk to the Post Office to collect a parcel of mine, and I need some nail polish so will walk on down to the pharmacy too.

Seeing it is another lovely day I may treat myself to a coffee and watch the passing parade – something I enjoy doing.

Today I must also do my ironing and then I can pretty well do whatever I want to! Whoo-hoo! Cross- stitch here I come!

Well, I walked as fast as I could to the Post Office and then the Chemist and on the way home, I did a small detour down to the Regional Gallery and Japanese Gardens. There I treated myself to a latte and a chocolate donut! Wicked! Hmmm, but ever so nice!

As Ken was having a quiet day, I decided that I could do some cross-stitching without any guilt attached to doing so!

I did some of my cross-stitching and then tackled the ironing with great gusto! It is all done – hence my angelic feeling!

For our supper I warmed up the Lamb Hot Pie that I made the other day, served with mashed potatoes, butternut and peas. The lamb was so nice that it was a pleasure to have it again!

A friend of mine from the Wauchope Baptist Church phoned me this afternoon to say that she is going to take over the role of SRE Co-Ordinator for that area and I am thrilled about that as she will be very good in that role.

After her phone call I got all the info’ on the teachers and what schools are involved and sent it to her. I also suggested that she go and see the guy who was the SRE Co-Ordinator before I was for many, many years and he would be able to steer her in the right direction.

What lesson did I learn today? You make my own happiness always.

What am I grateful for today? A beautiful day – blue skies, sunshine and no wind.

My saying for today is …
