My day began at four o'clock, but I only rolled out of bed at twenty past four. I vaguely remember Ken waking me up last night so I must have been yelling or making a noise! Nothing unusual, and yes, apparently, I was shouting!
Oh rats! I had been bitten four times by a spider (I assume,) on my right index finger on the second joint and they had formed blisters and two were joining together. So, irritating as I am really busy and do not need any sore fingers, thank you!
I decided that I would attack the worst and most untidy mess in the main shed - the part right at the back of the shed. There was nothing for it but to put my head down and work like crazy.
Let me just tell you that I blew both ends of my body off so many times carrying heavy containers or moving furniture and beds around, that I now have a straight through exhaust system!
It took my all day working non-stop, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel - I am just hoping it is not a freight train coming through!
Ken went out to check on the cattle and open or close gates, and another bull had got into the herd. Boy! When there is a will, they find a way! Ken had to move him out and will move him and the cow he was with out to the Middle Camp tomorrow.
In the late afternoon I got out our Christmas tree - I normally only put it just before everyone arrives or else the spiders think it is Christmas time for them and they weave their webs as if there is no tomorrow. Honestly, those wretched eight-legged web weavers test my patience something horrid!
I managed to put another two chairs around our dining room table and extend the table too. I think it will be nice for the six of us to sit around the table for mealtimes if possible. It just means that it is a bit squashed in our living room, but we can survive that I think.
We had 5mm of beautifully soft drizzle overnight which means Paddy's trees are all looking so happy - both those planted and those still in pots. Throughout today we have had misty drizzle off and on and it has been a lot cooler today than normal which is also a help keeping the trees happy.
I listened to the first disc on the Book of Revelation early this morning and then during the day whilst I worked cleaning and sorting out the shed, I listened to Revelation chapter 1 on audio.
Tomorrow, we have to go to town as I need to finish my Christmas shopping - oh dear, I am so late this year, I need to get groceries, and Ken has to have his hand redressed at the hospital too. We will be in town all day, I fear.
i planned on another early night tonight and I went to bed as early as I could.
What lesson did I learn today? Never to give up even when I feel like doing so!
What am I grateful for today? More photos of our little great-granddaughter Zara.

My saying for today is ...
