Shoof! I rolled out of bed at speed – again thinking that I had overslept, but all was well. No need to fear!

Before I begin my chitter-chatter I must take my hat off to Hester, my good friend whose writing I am in awe of. To think that she is writing in her second language puts me to shame. Honestly, well done my friend!

Once I had had my Quiet Time, uploaded my blog, checked emails et cetera, I showered and got dressed for the day.

At eight o’clock I woke Ken up as we had to leave by ten past nine for our Bible Study Group in Green Point.

Today, several of our group were unable to attend for a variety of reasons, So, today it was Mal (the leader) who took the lesson; Keith (who also does the leading sometimes); Bob; Peter; Stephen and Ken and mwah.

It was a great meeting but sad that the results of the biopsy done last week on a melanoma on his neck was not good for Mal’. He has to continue with chemo’ and radiation treatments, but he is such an example to us all of faith, but not stupidly or flippantly so, just with quiet dignity and deep inner peace which shows.

Mal’ and Keith asked me if I would like to lead the Bible Study Group next week as they are both going to be away, or they could ask young Will’ – (one the young pastors) to lead us. I said I would rather Will’ did that as we are still so new in the church, but if he was unable to, then I would step into the breech!

Thankfully Will' said he would do that happily, but Mal' phoned me and said that I must please be ready to lead soon!

After Bible Study Group Ken and I went to Aldis to get a few groceries, and from there we went to Coles as Aldis did not have any washing powder for “Whites”, and I also wanted some pate for tonight when Mich’ and Robert come over.

Mich’ and Robert come across to us on Tuesday nights to watch “The Block” and to have a drink or two and nibblies with us.

Once we got back home Ken went off to catch up with his phone stuff and I put the groceries away.

I also wrapped Paddy’s gift from us and wrote in his card. I cannot believe that he is turning sixty in a few days.

 Incredible! I should feel positively ancient – and yes, in many ways I do, but at the same time there is still that little girl inside me that never ages and just wants to have fun and who cannot believe that she has a son of sixty!

Someone, pass me the smelling salts please!

Tonight I will make a mince dish using Mexican seasonings, chilies, shredded cheese, Avo’s, corn, shredded lettuce, tomatoes et cetera on wraps. Something simple and easy to do.

Oh, how marvellous!- Hester has sent me some more of her book to read, but I will have to wait until early tomorrow morning to read it - it is called "delaying the pleasure!"

Talking about pleasure, Mich' and Robert bought me another computer screen so that I now have two screens to work off and it is such a nice large screen too! I am feeling quite the IT pro!

What lesson did I learn today? To listen and learn from others.
